HIT-HY 200 adhesive has three options for hole cleaning:
- The traditional perforation cleaning method which requires metal wire brushes and compressed air.
- The self-cleaning method, which uses TE-CD or TE-YD Core Drills in conjunction with a Hilti vacuum cleaner to remove dust while drilling. Thus, the hole is clean and ready to install the anchor.
- The no-clean method, which requires the use of HIT-Z and HIT-Z-R threaded anchor rods. If the temperature of the base material is below 41°F (5°C) or if a diamond drill bit is used to drill the hole, then the hole must be cleaned.

Items that are suitable for use with this system are steel threaded rods, HIS-(R) N internally threaded steel inserts, steel reinforcing rods, and Hilti HIT-Z and HIT-Z-R threaded rods.

Specification Guide
Injection adhesive can be used to install threaded rods, reinforcing steel and inserts in cured concrete. The adhesive should be supplied using containers that keep the A and B components separate. These containers should be designed to accept the static mixing nozzle that will thoroughly mix component A and component B and allow injection of the mixed adhesive directly into the borehole. The injection adhesive should be formulated to include the resin and hardener in order to achieve optimum cure speed, high strength and toughness. The injection adhesive anchoring system shall be HIT-HY 200, installed using SafeSet™ Technology. The HIT-HY 200 System shall be supplied by Hilti.

Technical Information
The load values contained in this section are simplified Hilti design tables. The load value tables in this section were developed using the strength design parameters and variables from ESR-3187 and the equations within ACI 318-11 Chapter 17.
