.Makita created a new class in cordless with 18V Sub-Compact LXT® tools. Makita Sub-Compact offers users 12V operation with 18V performance and compatibility with the world's largest 18V cordless tool system. The CX401SYB is a combination kit with four 18V sub-compact solutions for cutting, drilling, driving and fastening. The kit includes an ultra-compact 2-speed brushless screwdriver with two speed settings that weighs only 1.3 kg, and a brushless variable speed impact driver with two speed settings that weighs only 1.2 kg. For more efficient fastening, the impact driver features assist mode (A) that helps remove "thread pullout" and "cross threading" by driving at low speed until tightening begins. The kit also includes a 6 1/2-inch 18V LXT® brushless 6 1/2-inch circular saw. The Makita circular saw's brushless motor offers 5,000 RPM for faster cutting and ripping. A high luminance 4 L.E.D. Flashlight is also included and provides 160 lumens of light. Kit includes two 18V LXT® Compact 1.5AH 18V batteries, charger and tool bag. It is part of Makita's 18V expandable LXT® system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion batteries. Makita 18V LXT® batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting at the charger. To improve tool performance and extend battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer ControlsTM. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange real-time data and monitor conditions during use to protect against overcharging, over-discharging and overheating.
