1. Wear hearing protection. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
2. Use auxiliary handle(s) if provided with the tool. Loss of control may result in personal injury.
3. Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. If the cutting accessory contacts a live wire, exposed metal parts of the power tool will also become live and the operator may be shocked.
4. Wear a protective (safety) helmet, safety goggles and/or face shield. Sunglasses or goggles are NOT safety glasses. A dust mask and well-padded gloves are also recommended.
5. Make sure the drill bit is securely in place before operation.
6. Under normal operating conditions, the tool is designed to produce vibration. The screws can easily loosen and cause a failure or accident. Carefully check that the screws are tight before operating the tool.
7. In cold weather or when the tool has not been used for a long time, let the tool warm up for a while by running it under no load. This will speed up lubrication. Without proper warming up, the hammering operation will be difficult to perform.
8. Always make sure that you are standing on solid ground. Make sure that there is no one underneath when using the tool in high places.
9. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
10. Keep hands away from moving parts.
11. Do not leave the tool running. Only run the tool when it is in your hand.
12. Do not point the tool at anyone nearby when operating the tool. The bit may fly out and seriously injure someone.
13. Do not touch the bit or nearby parts immediately after operating the tool as they may be hot and burn your skin.
14. Some materials contain chemicals that may be toxic. Take precautions to avoid inhalation of dust or contact with skin. Consult the material supplier's safety information.
